Members of the Catholic Medical Association turned out in force for the 2013 March for Life in Washington, D.C. to mark the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
This was the first March without founder Nellie Gray serving as leader. While she was remembered with gratitude and honor, the 2013 went off without a hitch, with numbers reportedly well in excess of 2012’s 400,000+.
The Catholic Medical Association gathered its largest contingent ever to march together. Approximately 40 people—physicians, healthcare professionals, medical students, and family members—met in front of the Smithsonian Castle (see picture, right) and braved snow and cold temperatures. Our hearts were in the trim, however, and we will be back stronger than ever next year, and as long as it takes to overturn Roe v. Wade.
