Bala Cynwyd, PA    The Third Catholic Medical Boot Camp for Medical Students and Residents will be hosting a nationally-recognized speaker, Rev. Robert McTeigue, S.J., Ph.D. on Saturday, June 20, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, PA. as a keynote speaker.

As a professor of philosophy at Ave Maria University, Florida, Fr. McTeigue is known as a scholar with a sense of humor and a talent for making difficult concepts understandable. He earned his doctorate in philosophy from The Catholic University of America in 1990 and holds a Masters in Systematic Theology from Heythrop College at the University of London.

In 2007 he arrived at Ave Maria University, where he has worked as interim Director of Campus Ministry, adjunct professor of philosophy and associate dean of the men’s discernment program. He has also taught at Saint Joseph’s Seminary in Yangon, Myanmar. Prior to that, he served as spiritual director/retreat director at the Jesuit Center for Spiritual Growth in Wernersville, PA, and Director of the pre-theology program at Saint Mary’s Seminary in Houston. He has also worked at the University of Saint Thomas in Houston, the University of Scranton, the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, and Saint Louis University.

In 2014 Fr. McTeigue spoke at the CMA Orlando Conference winning the accolades of physicians and participants.  His invitation to the Boot Camp this year is a “testimony of his ability to deliver a message of conviction and inspiration,” shared Francis X. McNesby Jr., M.D., Boot Camp Chairperson.

Participation is limited to the general public.  If you are interested in attending, please email info@cathmed.org stating your name, address, email, telephone number and organization/apostolate. First-come, first-served; participating medical students, residents and faculty for the Boot Camp are pre-registered.
